Dove Hospice & Wellness is a highly regarded charitable organisation providing palliative care and return to wellness services to the Auckland area. This special work is possible by selling donated goods throughout our network of seven retail hospice shops, our Online shop and Trade Me store.

We are looking to fill the following roles:
📌Newmarket Shop ▫️ Full-time Assistant Manager, 40 hours per week
📌Newmarket Shop ▫️ Full-time Sales Assistant, 40 hours per week

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Please tell us why your skills and experience make you a good candidate. The stores are open 7-days per week, so you need to be willing to do some weekend days.

September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month!

Talk Peach Gynaecological Awareness is hoping to raise $70K.

$70K for gynaecological cancer is in reality a truly sad state of affairs and one our community is faced with year after year.

It is a drop in the ocean to the millions other well-funded cancers receive. Unfortunately, gynaecological cancers are not yet a well-profiled cause.

There are five gynaecological cancers: uterine, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal, together they kill 1 New Zealander every 24 hours, that's higher than our road toll.

The survival rate for ovarian cancer sits at 36%, breast cancer used to have a similar outlook, but now thanks to incredible advocacy, large-scale fundraising, an immense amount of research, public support and awareness, the 10-year breast cancer survival rate currently sits at 92% when detected via a mammogram.

Talk Peach acknowledges and applauds the tremendous outcomes in the fight against breast cancer and believes that with similar commitment and resources, we can achieve the same success for gynaecological cancers.

Our 30th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser was a huge success. "We achieved our highest daily sales of 2022 which was awesome", says our Executive Trustee Simon Jones.

Thank you to both Michiko Hylands and Megan Robinson for styling our customers in Remuera. We had delicious real fruit ice cream provided by Cinta Caravan, our lovely staff member, Ronald, cooking and giving out sausage sizzles snacks sponsored by The Mad Butcher. And Brayden, our DJ, played some fine tunes inspiring positive good vibes throughout our Glen Innes shop. 🎊

Thank you too to all our amazing sponsors that supported this Gala day and our Raffle.

30 years is a big feat for our organisation, and this event was our way of thanking our community for years of support that has helped us maintain the quality clinical services we provide at no cost to those with life-threatening illness.

We're grateful for all our volunteers, staff and customers that attended our event, we all hope you enjoyed the festivities throughout our shops — thank you everyone! 😁
