The recent Stitch It Event at New Zealand Fashion

The recent Stitch It Event at New Zealand Fashion Week was a great success!

In collaboration with Fashion Revolution New Zealand, Dove Hospice & Wellness hosted its third Stitch It workshop for 2023. This event aims to empower participants with sewing and mending skills to extend the life of their clothing.

Attendees learned several essential stitch techniques to help repairing seams, sewing buttons and progress to patch holes and conceal stains.

By acquiring these invaluable techniques, not only does this give our clothing longevity, but if you decide to pay it forward to friends, family or your local charity shop (like Dove) it is in its best condition extending wear time and reducing the speed to landfill. Positive for our community and for the environment. 👏😊🌍

Additionally, $10 from each ticket sale was donated to Dove Hospice & Wellness.

Big thanks to Whitney Henton, our E-Comm Coordinator, who created the content for and led this workshop.
